This policy explains what personal data Bistolfi De Leon, Inc. collects through
teros.dev, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. It covers this
website. It does not cover the separate terms that apply to engineers
engaged through us or to client engagements, which are governed by the
contracts signed in those relationships.
What we collect
Information you give us
- When you contact us — the name, email address, company,
and any details you include when you email us or submit a form on this
site.
- When you book a call — scheduling is handled by Cal.com,
embedded on our scheduling page. Cal.com receives the name, email
address, and any booking notes you enter, and processes them under its
own privacy policy.
- When you comment on a blog post — comments are powered
by Giscus, which stores them as GitHub Discussions. Commenting requires
a GitHub account, and your comment, GitHub username, and avatar are
public and governed by GitHub's privacy policy.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics. When analytics are enabled, we load Google
Tag Manager, which may set cookies and collect usage data such as pages
viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, referrer, and
device and browser characteristics.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard
request data, including IP address, timestamp, and user agent, for
security and reliability purposes.
Site search runs entirely in your browser via Pagefind. Search queries you
type on this site are not sent to us or to any third party.
Why we use it
- To respond to enquiries and evaluate whether we are a fit to work together.
- To arrange and hold scheduled calls.
- To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
- To keep the site secure and operating correctly.
- To meet legal, tax, and employment-related obligations that apply to us.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use the data collected through
this site to build advertising profiles.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only with service providers that help us operate
the site and our business, and only to the extent they need it. The
processors used by this website are:
- Google (Tag Manager / Analytics) — usage analytics.
- Cal.com — call scheduling.
- Giscus / GitHub — blog comments.
- Our hosting and CDN provider — site delivery and request logging.
We may also disclose data where we are legally required to, or where it is
necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
International transfers
We operate across Argentina, Uruguay, and the United States, and the
providers above operate internationally. Personal data may therefore be
transferred to and processed in countries other than the one you live in,
including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate
safeguards for these transfers.
How long we keep it
We keep personal data for as long as needed for the purpose it was
collected for, and then for as long as we are required to retain it for
legal, tax, or employment-record obligations. Enquiries that do not lead
to a relationship are deleted once they are no longer relevant.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct,
delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal data, and
to request a portable copy of it. Where we rely on consent — for example
for analytics cookies — you can withdraw it at any time. You also have the
right to complain to your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected].
We will respond within the time limits that apply to us.
Cookies
Cookies on this site come from the analytics and embedded services
described above. You can block or delete cookies through your browser
settings; the site remains usable if you do, though embedded scheduling
and comments may not work correctly.
Children
This site is aimed at businesses and working professionals. It is not
directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
Material changes will be made clear on the page itself.
